America 250- Colorado 150: 2026

In 2026, Colorado will observe two significant anniversaries. Delta County invites you to join us this opportunity to remember our shared past and imagine our future together. Stay tuned for upcoming news and events!

Celebrate a Moment in History with Delta County

In 2026, the United States will mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence—our nation’s semiquincentennial. At the same time, Colorado will celebrate the 150th anniversary of its entrance into the Union—our state’s sesquicentennial. As the Centennial State, Colorado is the only one who will observe twin anniversaries—our Sesquisemiquincentennial.

This is a powerful moment to reflect on our shared history, and here in Delta County, we’re ready to kick it off! We’re celebrating our heritage, our land, and our people with a full slate of fun events. Look for celebrations showcasing our unique regional heritage, like the official “Mountain and Mesa Region” logo for the Colorado 150 commemoration.

We’re building up to the main event with a fantastic lineup of 2026 festivals! The America 250 – Colorado 150 Commission was established to guide these commemorations, and we’re proud to bring you opportunities to experience our local culture. Stay tuned for upcoming dates and events!
